This is a self contained cottage set in the middle of a working olive grove. Karoondah Olive Grove Retreat at Mount Buffalo Olives is a fully air-conditioned rural retreat. Perfect for a romantic escape, an anniversary, special occasion or a weekend (or week) away. We are nestled into the foot of Mount Buffalo and central to the most popular tourist attractions in the North East of Victoria – Bright, the Ski Fields, Myrtleford, Mt Beauty and historic Beechworth and in the heart of the Great Alpine Valleys famous for its regional produce, gourmet food and exquisite wines. The cottage is smartly appointed with leather furniture, a fully equipped kitchen including stainless steel appliances and quality linen in the bedroom and bathroom. An eleven-metre swimming pool with glorious views of the Ovens Valley and the Victorian Alps is just outside your door. Our unique cottage offers many natural attractions. It sits at the top of our 50 acre farm, adjacent to the olive grove. We bound the Mount Buffalo National Park and have the privilege of sharing our property with kangaroos, wombats, possums and an amazing mix of native bird life including wrens, robins, parrots and Wedge Tail Eagles. The cottage is ideal for a couple but will easily accommodate four people. A breakfast basket is included in the tariff.

A 30 minute drive will take you to the top of the Mt Buffalo Plateau and one of the most stunning National Parks in Australia. Along with relaxing on the deck or sitting by the pool you can wander through the olive grove or walk around the property border taking in the views of the Mt Buffalo Gorge. For the more energetic, bring your bicycle and ride the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail and ride into Bright or Myrtleford and beyond. The serious cyclist can ride the Mt Buffalo Ascent to the historic Chalet. This relaxing setting is less than a 10 minute drive to Bright.
